Overview

Armsons Barlow provided Employer’s Agent and Quantity Surveying services to Ivygrove Developments and the Derbyshire Police and Crime Commissioner in relation to the new build Police Headquarters on Ascot Drive, Derby.

The project involved the construction of a new three-storey headquarters building with associated external works, drainage and site services. Work was carried out adjacent to the existing operational Fire Station.

The project was delivered on time and within the client’s budget parameters.

Our Role

Employer’s Agent:

  • Acting as the client’s representative throughout the design and construction phases
  • Managing project delivery against the contract and programme
  • Coordinating communication between all stakeholders
  • Monitoring compliance with the employer’s requirements

 

Quantity Surveyor:

  • Pre-contract cost planning and value engineering
  • Preparation of tender documentation and contract negotiation
  • Cost control and forecasting during construction
  • Monthly valuations, change control and final account negotiation
