2026 is a special year for Armsons Barlow, as we have the pleasure of celebrating two wonderful long-service milestones within our team. Together, Sally Walters and Paul Hanson have given an incredible 45 years of commitment, expertise and support to the business which we believe is certainly something worth celebrating!
First, we are delighted to celebrate our Director, Sally Walters, who marks 10 fantastic years with Armsons Barlow. Since joining us in 2016 to lead our Building Surveying and Project Management services, Sally has made an enormous contribution to the business and has played a key role in shaping the company we are so proud of today.
Over the past decade, Sally has been at the heart of many important moments in our journey. From becoming a shareholding Director in 2017 alongside Jonathan Heath, to welcoming Josh Toon into the leadership team in 2020, she has helped guide our continued growth and success.
Sally is hugely respected by colleagues and clients alike for her expertise in Building Surveying, Project Management and Employer’s Agent services, as well as for the time and energy she gives to the wider profession. Her contributions to RICS have included serving as RICS Matrics UK Chair, sitting on the RICS Governing Council, judging the RICS Awards and, most recently, acting as an RICS East Midlands Judge for 2026. Her passion for mentoring and encouraging the next generation of surveyors continues to make a real difference.
Congratulations, Sally, and thank you for 10 brilliant years of leadership, encouragement, hard work and friendship. We are incredibly proud to have you as part of the Armsons Barlow team!
Paul Hanson – 35 Years
We are equally thrilled to celebrate an extraordinary 35 years of service from our Associate Director, Paul Hanson. Paul began his journey with Barlow and Associates in 1991 and continued to be an integral part of the team following the merger with Armsons, becoming Associate Director in April 2022.
Throughout his remarkable career, Paul has supported countless clients and colleagues in a wide range of roles, including Quantity Surveyor, Employer’s Agent, Bank Monitoring Surveyor, Project Manager and Party Wall Surveyor. His experience working directly for contractors in the retail and civil engineering sectors has given him an invaluable depth of commercial and practical knowledge.
Having managed design and contractor teams across RIBA Stages 1–6, his extensive knowledge, calm approach and commitment to delivering work efficiently, safely and professionally are greatly valued by both our clients and the wider team.
Congratulations, Paul, and a heartfelt thank you for an amazing 35 years of loyalty, hard work, expertise and support. Your contribution to the business and to so many clients and colleagues over the years is something we are extremely proud to celebrate!
We feel incredibly fortunate to have them both as part of the Armsons Barlow family and look forward to many more happy and successful years together. Congratulations to you both!
