Overview

This project comprised of providing Project Management and Quantity Surveying services for the fit out of an 885,000 sq ft new build warehouse in Avonmouth.

Armsons Barlow provided intensive services for a period of 9 months assisting GXO with their scoping and delivery of the works. We were appointed in March 2025 on the scheme with the brief that the customer required to be operational within the Summer of 2025 and fully live by Autumn 2025.

We provided an onsite service and worked closely with the delivery partners to ensure the programme dates were achieved. We were successful in meeting all the client’s key requirements on the project.

Our Role

Project Management:

  • Acting as the client’s representative throughout the design and construction phases
  • Managing project delivery against the contract and programme
  • Coordinating communication between all stakeholders
  • Providing clear and timely instructions during fast paced tender negotiations
  • Monitoring compliance with the employer’s requirements

 

Quantity Surveyor:

  • Pre-contract cost planning and value engineering
  • Preparation of tender documentation and contract negotiation
  • Cost control and forecasting during construction
  • Monthly valuations, change control and final account negotiation
  • End of defects inspection
