Overview

Armsons Barlow provided Contract Administration and Quantity Surveying services on behalf of ATL Logistics in relation to the construction of a new 127,000 sq ft warehouse. The site, located just off the A50, is home to ATL’s UK operations.

The works comprised a new build warehouse facility, including a loading bay annexe, integral office space and welfare facilities. A new external storage yard was also installed as part of the works, along with a new access road to service the facility.

Our Role

Project Management:

  • Acting as the client’s representative throughout the design and construction phases
  • Managing project delivery against the contract and programme
  • Preparing and issuing contract instructions and notices
  • Coordinating communication between all stakeholders
  • Engaging with 3rd party consultants and suppliers to facilitate racking fit out and coordination of fire strategy
  • Liaison with statutory undertakers

 

Quantity Surveyor:

  • Pre-contract cost planning and value engineering
  • Preparation of tender documentation and contract negotiation
  • Cost control and forecasting during construction
  • Monthly valuations, change control and final account negotiation
  • Monthly reports and financial updates to both the client and bank’s monitoring surveyor
