Armsons Barlow provided Employer’s Agent and Quantity Surveying Services from RIBA Stage 3-6 on this mixed unit Private Rental Sector development in Mansfield. We had previously completed Phase I works on the adjacent site in 2020 and the subsequent Phase II works entailed 27No. apartments and 24No. houses on the opposite side of Great Central Road.
Several challenges were faced in the ground and significant remediation across the site was necessary to ensure we had a suitable platform to build from. Half of the development was constructed utilising piled foundations, whilst the top section of the site was able to be designed with traditional foundation systems. Given the tight nature of the site, the team were able to negotiate the use of the neighbouring ‘redundant’ car garage for site welfare to create additional working space and expedite programme.
