Armsons Barlow provided Quantity Surveying services on a new build brewery comprising of specialist brewing operations, ground floor retail and hospitality space and first floor offices. The project, located off Cut Throat Lane, Bedford, was completed during the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic.
We led on Quantity Surveying services from RIBA Stage 0-6 and were key players in ensuring the project was viable. There was significant ground remediation works and ultimately piled foundations required to the footprint of the new building. Additional piles and foundations were installed to future proof potential later phases of expansion.
The scheme was delivered on time and to the client’s budget, despite significant disruption caused by material shortages and fluctuations caused by the pandemic.
